Dallas Bethlehem Center is a success readiness center for the youth of South Dallas. Trietsch's charity fundraiser will help support their key focuses: early childhood development, food security and community empowerment for South Dallas youth and their families. As a faith-based mission of the United Methodist North Texas Conference, DBC uses a STAR to represent their mission: Spiritually Transforming Acts of Renewal. For the Advent season, Trietsch is exploring the journey to Jesus Christ and the range of emotions involved. The people in the Christmas story experienced pure love, hope, peace and joy at first sight when they saw Jesus the first time. In the spirit of the season, Trietsch wants to see #AtFirstSight moments from the entire Dallas/ Fort Worth area. An #AtFirstSight moment might be the joy of a baby’s first steps, the hope of a teacher who cares about his or her students, the peace that comes with Christmas lights, or a love for that morning cup of coffee. Trietsch wants to celebrate the big and little things that make up the DFW community’s #AtFirstSight moments.

To learn more about how to get involved, visit Trietsch’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/tmumc or follow them on Twitter and Instagram at @TrietschUMC. Spread the word. Spread the wealth. It’s that simple. For any questions about the #AtFirstSight promotion, contact Alyssa Robinson by email at alyssar(at)tmumc(dot)org.
