Burton History Trees Create First Basketball History Tree for Upcoming Kickstarter.com Campaign
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 24, 2014 -- Burton History Trees, LLC. is a small and innovative Chicago based digital art company, creating a once in a lifetime memento for all basketball fans. This Burton History Tree brings to life the complete history of your favorite NBA franchise. From the earliest days as a new team to the latest 2014 roster, the franchise’s entire history is captured on one single print. Never before has anything of this stature been available to NBA fanatics. The first tree we’re offering – a depiction of the Chicago Bulls – will be unveiled through the company’s first ever Kickstarter.com campaign in hopes of crowd-funding enough capital to produce trees for all 30 NBA teams in the near future.
A Burton History Tree is a completely original piece of art that captures an entire history on one page. The viewer can think of it as a one-page encyclopedia of a particular topic. The content of each Burton History Tree is uniquely arranged in chronological order and sized by significance. By combining names, images, and sketches, a Burton History Tree is a dramatic piece of artwork that is the ideal conversation piece. In the case of the Chicago Bulls, player names and historical images form the foliage on the body of the image. Both the base and roots of the tree depict elements, events, stories, and places that are synonymous with the history of the team. Showcasing over 250 players, 10 hall of famers, 6 world championships, and countless elements of Bulls lore, this tree provides a comprehensive display of the Chicago Bulls entire history. As a family tree grows over time, so does a professional franchise.
With the launch of the Kickstarter.com campaign, the Burton History Trees team is hoping to generate at least $35,000 to meet demand, help the company grow, and subsequently license and distribute the entire line of the NBA Trees.
Burton History Trees was founded in 2008 by Eric Fine. Eric started the company to promote the artwork of his long-time mentor and friend, artist Bruce Burton. In 1978, when Bruce Burton was frustrated by the lack of information available on British rock, he had a sudden flash of genius: use the traditional family tree format to create the history of his favorite musical genre. After Bruce painstakingly designed many more trees by hand over the next 38 years Eric approached Bruce with the idea of digitally producing a tree using modern technology. In 2008, graphical artist Drew Wasserman joined Eric and Bruce to found the new Burton History Trees, LLC., and bring a whole new generation of Trees.
