Eagle Feathers Set Artist's Painting on Fire
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- Diediker fully credits the award to a spiritual ceremony performed on his painting the previous week by Hidatsa Nation spiritual leader Winston Mason. The ceremony is called a smudge and is preformed by burning cedar, sage, tobacco, and sweetgrass then spreading the smoke in four directions via winds from Eagle feathers along with native prayers. "I'm honored and humbled to have participated in such a rare experience" says Diediker, "He set my painting on fire spiritually and for part it almost literally!"

Diediker, "I don't consider myself a religious man, but after this experience I think I'm starting to believe."
