The Vale Niseko Crowned World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel at World Ski Awards
Kitzbuhel, Austria (PRWEB) November 26, 2014 -- The World Ski Awards is a red carpet event celebrating excellence in the ski tourism industry, and winners enjoy recognition as leaders in the worldwide skiing community. After taking out one of the coveted World's Best titles, The Vale Niseko now stands alongside celebrated names such as Val Thorens, Bighorn Revelstoke, and the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch in the World Ski Awards Hall of Fame.
Representatives of NISADE were on hand to accept the esteemed award on behalf of the team that has propelled The Vale Niseko to an award-winning streak over the last 12 months. In addition to consecutive wins at the World Ski Awards, The Vale was also named a winner at the Asia Pacific Property Awards, and beribboned with a Five Star Rating from the International Property Awards.
‘Not only is this a big win for The Vale, which is quickly becoming an iconic property within the region, but once again Niseko is on the world stage where it belongs,’ comments NISADE Chairman Jonathan Martin. ’The incredible quality of snow in Niseko guarantees it a spotlight in the future of international skiing, and as local business owners we are onboard to support the vision of that future.”
It was a clean sweep for the Niseko region, with the Hilton Niseko Village winning Japan’s Best Ski Hotel, Sekka Kan named Japan’s Best Ski Chalet, and Niseko United awarded the title of Japan’s Best Ski Resort. There was much applause when local Akio Shinya was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Ski Tourism Asia Award for his dedication to Niseko’s avalanche control; an inspiring effort that serves to make the region’s glorious off-piste safer for everyone.
Niseko’s multiple wins at the World Ski Awards bode well for the future of the town and its resort. Boasting big name sponsors such as Swarovski, Audi, iSki and Pinroth, the annual awards attract the attention of the international ski industry as the pinnacle of achievement in ski tourism. The World Ski Awards were held at the A-Rosa in Kitzbühel, an exquisite Austrian ski town that is considered the birthplace of skiing and served as the perfect setting for the ritzy three-day extravaganza.
Comprised of 49 individually owned apartments and resort rooms, The Vale Niseko offers the ultimate in luxury ski-in accommodation. Designer interiors, 5 star luxury facilities and exquisite views keep even the most discerning of guests coming back year after year, including Japan’s very own Prime Minister Abe.
