Dimensional Insight Achieves #1 Rankings in Key Categories in BARC’s The BI Survey 14

Dimensional Insight’s top scores in the dashboard and ad-hoc reporting vendor peer groups in Project Success, Investment, Recommendation and Customer Satisfaction demonstrate commitment to customers and results.

Dimensional Insight, a developer of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that it scored very well in The BI Survey 14 for the fourth straight year. The BI Survey 14, produced by BARC, is the world’s largest survey of business intelligence end-users. BARC is a leading enterprise software industry analyst and consulting firm which includes business intelligence among its core research areas. For The BI Survey 14, BARC surveyed 3,224 end users and ranked 34 different BI products.

Vendors were grouped into different peer categories – Dimensional Insight was included in the dashboard vendor peer group and the ad-hoc reporting vendor peer group, receiving 11 top KPI rankings among dashboard vendors and 9 top KPI rankings among ad-hoc reporting vendors. Among Dimensional Insight’s #1 rankings were top scores in:

  • Project success: This KPI measures the implementation satisfaction level and the frequency of projects that are completed both on time and on budget. Dimensional Insight received the highest marks of any vendor in this category, and according to the BARC report, Dimensional Insight’s “ongoing commitment to working deeply and knowledgeably within targeted verticals plays a large role in achieving these high levels of satisfaction.”
  • Investment per seat: The investment KPI is measured based on median license fees, annual fees and external implementation fees adjusted by the number of users. BARC notes that Dimensional Insight is seen as “an exceptional value in terms of dollars invested.”
  • Recommendation: BARC notes that Dimensional Insight has a significant competitive advantage with its recommendation score, which is based on how many users would recommend the product to their peers.
  • Customer satisfaction: The customer satisfaction KPI combines scores in “product satisfaction,” “vendor support,” and “implementer support” – areas in which Dimensional Insight received the top scores across the board in the two peer groups. BARC noted Dimensional Insight’s product satisfaction scores in particular, as its score was well ahead of the second place contender’s scores.
