StorageMart announced today the acquisition of Safety Mini Storage and its 17 locations for self storage in the Kansas City area.

The acquisition adds 17 self storage properties, more than 1,000 separate storage units and approximately 1.5 million net rentable square feet to the StorageMart portfolio. This increases StorageMart’s portfolio to more than 12 million net rentable square feet in 163 properties located across the United States and Canada.
With this acquisition, StorageMart establishes itself as the single-largest, privately owned provider of self storage space in the Kansas City Metro Area, adding 12 stores in Missouri and 5 in Kansas.

Other amenities of the storage properties include perimeter fencing, gated access via unique PIN codes for each tenant, on-site property management and video monitoring help provide a web of security for storage customers.
Storage options include both indoor and outdoor parking areas for storing vehicles, heated, climate-controlled storage units and units with drive-up access. Select storage locations also feature dock-high access for large moving trucks and semi-trucks.
Each of these new locations will offer for purchase a wide variety of high quality moving boxes and packing supplies, making StorageMart the one-stop shopping spot for packing or moving in Kansas City.
