Auto Truck Group to Donate New Truck to Mt. Eden, KY Fire Department
Bartlett, IL (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- After a recent tragedy in Mt. Eden, Kentucky that took the building, fleet, and equipment of the local volunteer fire department, Auto Truck Group and Ford Commercial Vehicles agreed to generously donate a fully upfitted 2015 Ford Expedition SSV unit to the station.
The fire, which occurred in August 2014, required 50 firefighters from neighboring counties to put out the flames, and caused over $1 million in damages to trucks, equipment, and the building infrastructure.
After hearing about the tragedy, Auto Truck Group and Ford Commercial Vehicles worked together to upfit a new 2015 Ford Expedition SSV with extensive emergency lighting and siren equipment typically required of fire departments.
“Tragedy can happen to anyone, and we thank our associate for bringing this to our attention,” says Jim Dondlinger, President of Auto Truck Group. “Especially in this season of giving, we are proud to give back to the community in any way that we can.”
Delivering the truck on November 19 were Jim Dondlinger, President of Auto Truck Group, Dave Fish, Production Manager of Auto Truck’s Louisville, KY facility, along with several Auto Truck installation technicians donating their time and labor including Dean Leslie, James Milton, Daniel Ruffner, Brian Rapp, and Ryan Fish.
