ATI Systems Introduces New Web-Based Platform to Access and Control its Mass Notification System from any Web Browser
Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- Acoustic Technology, Inc. (ATI Systems), the world leader in Mass Notification Systems (MNS) and intelligible voice systems, announced the release of the ATI Web Portal, a new web-based platform that is used to control and monitor ATI’s MNS. The ATI Web Portal uses secure access and encrypted communication with ATI’s MassAlert® software to provide complete control of ATI’s MNS. Secure onsite or remote access is available from any web browser, enabling users to access the system from their phone, tablet or computer.
Providing the same features and functionality as ATI’s MassAlert software, the ATI Web Portal can be installed on a local server or hosted in the cloud. Hosting options do not affect the performance of the ATI Web Portal; however, the cloud provides redundant and backup capabilities. Through a secure network, multiple sites/facilities can be integrated together, regardless of where they are located globally.
System and equipment status, in addition to activation reports, are easily accessible so that users can monitor the overall system 24/7. Equipment units are color coded on an area coverage map, allowing users to configure and activate the entire area, zones, or individual sirens as defined by the user, either in pre-selected groups or on-the-fly selection.
“The major advantage of the ATI Web Portal is that it provides the flexibility for the user to activate and monitor the system from anywhere that web access is available,” said Claudia Markovich, Global Development Manager. “This Portal is the result of ATI’s commitment to state-of-the-art technology and continuous development to enhance our emergency notification products and services.”
The ATI Web Portal has been successfully implemented as part of the mudslide and flood MNS for the State of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The implemented first phase of the system consists of 180 High-Powered Speaker Stations and 11 Control Stations, all of which can be accessed via the ATI Web Portal. This capability helps to save valuable time during an emergency because authorized personnel can activate the system from wherever they are at the time, without worrying about getting to a control station first.
