Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) November 24, 2014 -- Inmar, a company that operates collaborative commerce networks, today announced its acquisition of Fremont, California-based EXP Pharmaceutical Services Corp. EXP’s core business of pharmaceutical returns and recalls aligns well with Inmar’s healthcare service offerings. The acquisition also positions Inmar to extend its pharmacy financial management services into the hospital market, where EXP has developed a strong presence.
In addition to pharmaceutical returns management and recall services, Inmar manages claims and payment reconciliation services for pharmacies to ensure appropriate reimbursement from healthcare payors. And, its patented contract management technology provides pharmacies with detailed analytics that allow more favorable contract negotiations with carriers through contract database management, contract rate reconciliation and contract profitability management.
Inmar’s data analytics and patient engagement capabilities provide insight to help the healthcare industry meet the changing needs of today’s patients and healthcare environment beyond the walls of their buildings.
“EXP has developed a strong reputation for exceptional service in the marketplace,” says Inmar’s Chairman and CEO David Mounts. “Our core businesses and our cultures align well.”
EXP’s CEO Gus Changaris says that “The common and previously separate clients of EXP and Inmar will all now be joined to witness new levels of enhanced services and capabilities never before possible.” He adds that “I believe there is significant opportunity for the delivery of enhanced efficiencies, product offerings and service levels for clients and the healthcare marketplace overall.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
