Cormant, Inc., a data center infrastructure management (DCIM) pure-play expert, announces its proactive steps towards becoming the world’s most security-rich DCIM solution. The latest features enhance user authentication, system security and audit trails across all platforms to meet or exceed the increasing security needs of its customers.

The new features provide several administrative options for stricter password enforcement and ease of security management on desktops, laptops, tablets and handheld devices. Cormant-CS now automatically generates complex passwords, locks users out of the system in attempted attacks, utilizes password history, recognizes password strength and offers administrators full configuration of all security components. Additional data protection is provided by a key feature that deletes mobile system access during a brute force attack.

“We frequently do implementations that require documentation of networks with varying security clearances that require physical separation,” says Cormant’s Lead Technical Consultant, Stuart Hallin. “This is common within high security environments and we’ve now added another layer of protection for these types of customers.”

Cormant’s DCIM solution, Cormant-CS, has been known for its focus on security features since the product launch in 2003. High-security customers currently comprise 48% of Cormant’s customer base in industries such as banking and financial solutions, government, government research and healthcare. Its customers include three of the top ten largest global banks in addition to government entities with varying levels of security requirements.

High-security enterprises persistently focus on mitigating the risk of security breaches which have been rampant in recent years. With data centers continuing to grow and manage more data, enterprises adopt DCIM to monitor their IT infrastructure and to help detect and prevent security breaches. Cormant-CS helps manage and add levels of security to both IT infrastructure and connections inside and around data centers and campus environments.
