Holiday Extras’ Shortbreaks division celebrates 10 years - by giving customers their money back!

10 years ago, the Kent-based company who specialise in selling holiday add-ons branched out into short breaks across the UK. This December, they’re celebrating the anniversary by giving 10 customers who book in their birthday month their money back!

The Shortbreaks division that specialises in theatre and theme park breaks was founded in 2004 by Simon Hagger, who still leads the Shortbreaks business as CEO. The company runs the official short break programmes for a range of UK attractions including The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, THORPE PARK Resort, Alton Towers Resort, Paultons Park, the home of Peppa Pig World, and the Eden Project.

The team is dedicated to their vision of “making free time count” for customers all over the UK. Whether it’s a family break to The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, an action-packed THORPE Break, or a night in the West End, there’s something for everyone to choose from. Michelle Clarke-Cowell, the Customer Director, said: “to be a leading provider of UK package breaks, we focus on making sure every single customer gets to experience the perfect break for them, backed up by top class service both in our call centre and online”.

Celebrating 10 years of Shortbreaks, CEO Simon Hagger said: “It's been a real privilege to create a new arm to the Holiday Extras business, from the seed of an idea 10 years ago to a thriving division which now has sales of over £44 million per annum. We’ve created over 100 new jobs at our offices in Kent, and have built strong partnerships with the largest theme park and theatre suppliers in the UK. We feel just as ambitious for the future, as we plan to expand our product ranges, open up new destinations and drive growth by focusing on truly great customer experience and by investing in technology, particularly mobile.”
