Aplos to Host Educational Webinars about Church Accounting

Aplos Software will host educational webinars to help church bookkeepers understand the fundamentals behind church accounting. The webinar will cover essential church accounting procedures and the basics needed for a church to demonstrate good stewardship of its finances.

Aplos Software, a company that specializes in nonprofit and church accounting software, announced today that it will host two educational webinars for churches on the basics of church accounting. The one-hour webinar is open to the public for no charge and attendees can select from two available dates: Tuesday, December 9 at 2 p.m. PST and Tuesday, January 13 at 2 p.m. PST. Webinar registration is currently available through the Aplos website.

The “Church Accounting Basics” webinar is led by Alex Acree, head of customer support for Aplos, and covers the essentials of church accounting. Attendees will:

  •     Gain a foundational understanding of accounting
  •     Understand what fund accounting is and when it is typically used by a church
  •     Know how to build your church’s accounting system, including your chart of accounts
  •     Understand how to use a church accounting software to manage the books and increase your accounting accuracy and efficiency
