Los Angeles CA (PRWEB) November 27, 2014
Now in its 13th year, the “Ribbon In The Sky” toy drive will once again bring holiday cheer to Los Angeles and beyond, from the Skybar Lounge at the Mondrian in West Hollywood Sunday December 7, 2014 at 6:30pm.
This year, the drive teams up with Athletes Vs. Cancer founded by NBA star Matt Barnes of the Los Angeles Clippers. "Ribbon In The Sky" also expands to include a sneaker drive as well as the yearly toy drive—another first for the festivities.
Barnes will personally host the proceedings. He founded Athletes Vs. Cancer in 2008 in order to urge for awareness and funds for cancer screenings. This organization emphasizes finding cancer early to properly fight it, while working towards a cure. It's very close to Barnes' heart, and it's helping fuel this year's "Ribbon In The Sky" event.
This is the best way to give back if you’re in L.A. Tickets and VIP table reservations for the event can be found at http://www.kickstandworld.com. Bring a toy or pair of sneakers to add to the giving of the holiday season.
In addition, recording artist and former American Idol star Stefano Langone will open the event, and the evening’s music will be curated by Hollywood’s A-list celebrity DJ, Michelle Pesce.
About the event, "Ribbon In The Sky" founder Geoff Walker comments, “I was so inspired by Matt’s story and what he’s doing with Athletes Vs. Cancer. It was an honor to join forces with him this year. I’ve been given this blessing so I try to give back to those who don’t have the same opportunities every chance I get. This is one of the best ways for me to do so.”
Once this Ribbon takes flight, L.A. will once again light up.
