(PRWEB) November 26, 2014 -- Nelson Migdal, co-chair of the Hospitality Practice at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been elected president of the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys (AHIA). He will serve as president through November 2016.

AHIA was formed by a group of attorneys from across the United States who represent clients engaged in the hotel, restaurant, hospitality, travel, meeting, convention, tourism and related industries. The organization is committed to promoting professionalism, education and improved communication to create a network of competent, experienced attorneys providing legal services to clients within these industries.
Migdal, who is based out of Greenberg Traurig’s Washington, D.C. office,, focuses his practice on hotel acquisitions, operations, development and finance, large mixed-use projects, hotel management agreements, licensing agreements, commercial real estate acquisition and sale, commercial leasing, and the representation of property owners on telecommunications matters. Beyond his legal practice, Migdal gives his time to the community through his work as a faculty member at American University Washington College of Law.
