Announcement: GuitarControl.com releases “Easy Lead Guitar Lesson on Bending Technique”

GuitarControl.com released a new video guitar lesson from GuitarControl.com instructor Darrin Goodman. In this guitar lesson, now available on YouTube.com, Darrin Goodman teaches a lesson on bending.

Darrin teaches this lesson using the pentatonic scale in the key of E and demonstrates the scale pattern as follows. 12th fret of the 6th string with first finger to the 15th fret with 4th finger, 12th fret of the 5th string with first finger to the 14th fret with 3rd finger and repeat that sequence on the 4th and 3rd strings.

12th fret of the 2nd string with first finger to the 15th fret with 4th finger and repeat that sequence on the first string. Goodman demonstrates how to perform the bending techniques for; whole step bends, half step bends, unison bends and interval bends using double stops.

Darrin explains how to use a clip-on tuner to aid in training your ear to hear the different pitches and intervals used in bending. Guitar TAB’s are available for this easy beginner lead guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.

Double Stops is the technique of playing two strings at the same time, usually done using the hybrid picking technique.

A Pentatonic Scale is a musical scale with five notes per octave and is very common and found all over the world.

Darrin Goodman, a native of Ogden Utah, began playing guitar at the age of 12 after hearing KISS at an earlier age. Darrin has been a local finalist for the King of the Blues contest and is the lead guitarist of international recording artist Sonic Prophecy who has performed with artists such as Accept, Sabaton Cinderella and Ratt. Darrin has been teaching private lessons to 30 to 60 students a week from his home studio since 1987.
