Dietz was named Entrepreneur of The Year by Trader Magazine, the industry’s leading source of information for the Institutional Trading Community. The Entrepreneur of The Year award is presented annually to an individual who pursues and succeeds in new ventures or businesses in financial markets.

Dietz received her Entrepreneur of The Year award at the 2014 Wall Street Women: A Celebration of Excellence event. The ceremony was held at New York Hilton Midtown, where more than 150 guests from the buy side, sell side, broker and financial IT community gathered to celebrate Dietz and other category winners.

Helen A. Dietz advises individuals with concentrated stock positions and has done so for the past 25 years. She joined Stanford Investment Group in 1987 and became President and CEO in 2004. Dietz was one of the first of five advisors to work with the Schwab Registered Investment Advisor platform in the Bay Area. Prior to joining SIG, Dietz was an Advisor and Financial Planner with the boutique investment-banking firm Morgan, Olmstead, Kennedy and Gardner. A graduate of Rutgers University, Dietz holds a B.A. in Business and English with a discipline in Economics.
Dietz is also a mentor with The Idea Village, a New Orleans-based community of entrepreneurs and those who believe in them. She is a member of the American Funds Advisory Council, has served on Schwab’s Regional Advisory Council, and is a member of the Financial Women’s Association. Dietz has served on the Notre Dame High School Finance and Investment and Strategic Planning Committee. Currently, she serves on the Board of Notre Dame High School in San Jose, California.
