Stephen Dilts joins HNTB Corporation as New Jersey Sales Officer
Parsippany, N.J. (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- Stephen Dilts has joined HNTB Corporation as vice president and New Jersey sales officer. Dilts will be based in the firm’s Parsippany office.
In his role with HNTB, Dilts serves as a member of the New Jersey office management team, responsible for business development and sales initiatives within the state and the region. His role also includes client relationship building as well as supporting office growth and performance goals.
Dilts’ extensive transportation industry background includes serving terms as commissioner and deputy commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, chairman of New Jersey Transit, chairman of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, deputy executive director of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, and mayor and council president of Hampton, New Jersey.
“Steve’s broad-based experience with both the public and private sectors in New Jersey give him unique perspectives on the state’s transportation needs,” said Tom Hicks, PE, HNTB vice president and New Jersey office leader. “The transportation network in our state faces unique challenges that call for new solutions, and it can only benefit from the insights and knowledge Steve has accumulated through his experience.”
Dilts holds a master’s degree of governmental administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government, as well as a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Boston University. He currently serves as first vice president of the Intelligent Transportation Society of New Jersey, is an executive committee member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey, and a member of the Regional Plan Association New Jersey Committee.
In New Jersey, HNTB works with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority as the general engineering consultant, a relationship the firm has maintained for decades, as well as with New Jersey Transit and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
