Aavid Celebrates 50 Years of Innovation In Europe
LACONIA, NH (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- At its European facility in Bologna, Italy on Friday November 21st, Aavid Thermalloy celebrated five decades of providing innovative thermal solutions to the industries and markets we serve. Alan Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Aavid Thermalloy, stated, “Aavid is a company that focuses on the core values of integrity and excellence. This was the second of three world-wide events featuring selected technology-based works of art from the 2014 Aavid Art and Engineering Global Challenge. Attendees cast ballots to determine the top three regional winners for Europe. We are proud to announce that the winners are:
• First Place: Parametric Extreme by Oliver Tessin, Munich, Germany
• Second Place: Irminensteg Trier by Michael Wagner & Pol Firmenich, Trier, Germany
• Third Place: Generico Chair by Marco Hemmerling, Cologne, Germany
Visitors were also able to view new products and see demonstrations of Aavid’s latest technologies that will be “breaking the boundaries of cool in the next fifty years.” The art exhibits and product displays were each indicative of the innovation and forward thinking that Aavid continues to uphold as it moves into the next half century.
Aavid will host its final 50 year event at its facility in Shenzhen, China on January 17th.
