Pet Food Express collected enough last year to provide every shelter and rescue pet in the Bay Area with a new toy or treat.

“Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.” The creatures ARE stirring at pet shelters and rescues throughout California, and there is a great way to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and more this holiday season.
In partnership with more than a hundred pet shelters and rescues in California, Pet Food Express’ annual Giving Tree fundraiser will provide treats and toys to homeless and adoptable pets this holiday season. There are 3 easy ways to help at Pet Food Express: donate a toy, treat or cash from November 24th to December 31st.
Last year, with the help of generous customers, Pet Food Express raised more than $80,000 worth of toys, treats and cash for lonely dogs and cats in California shelters. That’s enough to provide every homeless pet in the Bay Area with a new toy or treat. The holidays are often the busiest time of year for shelters. Animal experts say that it’s very stressful on animals to be in the shelter and having something to chew on can help reduce stress. “Homeless animals need your help all year long,” says Michael Levy, founder of Pet Food Express, “and we feel the holidays are an especially great time to provide toys and treats to homeless pets in our communities.”
Customers can participate at any Pet Food Express store until December 31st, 2014, and Pet Food Express will give that customer 10% off their next purchase in January 2015. It’s what Pet Food Express calls a give-and-get: give to a homeless pet and get a discount for their pet.
Pet Food Express will be delivering these toys and treats to a number of shelters throughout California in the month of December. Please call Mike Murray at 925 705-5762 to get timing of deliveries directly to the pets in need.
Imagine all the pets “dressed in fur from their head to their feet” enjoying toys and treats this holiday season! For more information go to http://www.petfoodexpress.com/giving-back/annual-giving-tree/
