Wallgate Launches Certified, Water Saving Thrii™ 3-in-1 Hand Wash Dryer in North America
Valencia, CA (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- The North American version Thrii™ 3-in-1 hand wash dryer from Wallgate Ltd has completed electrical, plumbing and green certification testing, and is now available with certifications required by architects, facility managers and others for use in public restroom construction and remodel projects.
The Thrii™ is a durable, vandal-resistant, integrated hand washing/drying station that offers a cost-effective, maintenance-reducing alternative to traditional vandal-prone wash basins, soap dispensers, and paper towel dispensers.
With the Thrii, water and soap amounts are pre-set, eliminating the possibility that water can be left running or excessive amounts of soap used. The Thrii’s integrated forced air hand dryer eliminates paper towel waste, further reducing restroom maintenance expense.
“By metering and managing the use of consumables like water and soap and eliminating paper towel waste, the Thrii substantially reduces consumables expense in public bathrooms,” states Gary Sande, Marketing Manager at Wallgate America. “And compared to traditional bathroom fixtures, use of the Thrii greatly reduces the opportunity for vandalism, thus further reducing subsequent maintenance costs,” he adds.
The unit activates automatically when the user’s hands are placed below a sensor, where a small amount of hand-wetting water is dispensed. Soap is then dispensed, followed by a short pause before rinsing water is dispensed. After rinsing, forced air blows to dry the hands. The entire cycle can complete in as little as 30 seconds.
The American Thrii now bears the cUPC© mark, and is in compliance with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC©), the International Plumbing Code (IPC©), and the IAPMO IGC 127 standard. The Disabled Use model is also in compliance with ICC A117.1. The Thrii also bears the MET Mark for electrical certification from MET Laboratories.
IAPMO R&T has also certified the Thrii as GREEN, earning the cUPC-GREEN mark for water efficiency. The Thrii is compliant with the following codes: IAPMO Green Plumbing and Mechanical Code Supplement, Cal Green, LEED, National Green Building Standard™, Natural Resources Canada R-2000 Standard and Green Building Assessment Protocol for Commercial Buildings. The Thrii is further in compliance with the following standard(s): IAPMO Green Plumbing and Mechanical Code Supplement-2012, Cal Green-2013, LEED-2012, National Green Building Standard, Natural Resources Canada R-2000 Standard, and Green Building Assessment Protocol for Commercial Buildings.
