Bernard S. Berkowitz, senior partner at the law firm of Berkowitz Lichtstein Kuritsky Giasullo & Gross LLC, in Roseland, New Jersey, is an Ambassador for Partners for Health. Mr. Berkowitz formerly served on the Board of Trustees of the organization, whose mission is to strengthen health and wellness in the communities of Bloomfield, Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Clifton, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Glen Ridge, Little Falls, Montclair, North Caldwell, Nutley, Roseland, Verona, West Caldwell and West Orange. The organization’s vision is to create healthier communities by supporting and advancing good health, wellness education, and disease prevention and treatment. Partners for Health is an independent, self-governing public charity serving the Montclair area. Through its unique approach to grant-making, the foundation develops collaborations among key stakeholders to encourage area residents to live healthier lifestyles and to enhance their ability to do so.

Bernard Berkowitz concentrates his practice in estates and trusts, tax and corporate law. Over the course of his career, he has earned a reputation as a leader in New Jersey in the representation of charitable organizations and counsel on planned charitable giving. He represents entities, including public charities and private foundations, and advises clients on charitable giving, including setting up foundations and charitable trusts.
