The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) honored the best in swimming pool, spa, hot tub and water feature design with the 44th annual International Awards of Excellence (AOE).
Recipients were officially revealed at the 2014 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo Welcome Party, held Nov. 5 at B.B. King’s Blues Club in Orlando. These installations are currently featured at AQtheMagazine.com and on APSP’s YouTube page.
The 2014 International Awards of Excellence program is sponsored by Zodiac and Jandy, with support from Evosus and PoolCorp. Corporate sponsors of the program are: S.R. Smith; Latham Pool Products; and Lonza.
"These award winning installations represent what’s possible in the backyard and in communities across this country and the globe," said APSP President and CEO Rich Gottwald. “Throughout its 44-year history, the AOE program has helped builders and designers differentiate themselves in a hyper-competitive market, and through stunning imagery, it has inspired countless consumers to take the plunge in pool and hot tub ownership,” he added.
This year, 107 awards were presented in 40 categories, 19 of which spotlighted international installations. There were a total of 37 entries from eight countries.
“Zodiac Pool Systems is proud to support APSP’s International Awards of Excellence because of the invaluable opportunity this program provides for the most talented professionals in the industry to be recognized for their work,” said Troy Franzen, managing director, Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. “The craftsmen honored this year have raised the bar with their creative and imaginative contributions to creating an unforgettable pool experience.”
