Rush It Network launches as a fictional multi-channel network, helmed by web series trailblazer, Scott Zakarin
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- Rush IT Network launches today as a fictional Multi-Channel Network, premiering its first dramedy show, TheSpinOffs. Rush IT Network platforms feature charismatic actors living as fictional characters in the real world, in real time, interacting with the audience via a multitude of digital platforms. What stands Rush It Network apart is its innovative product integration approach. They will fold partnering consumer brands into the series storylines, offering organic exposure opportunities to engage the audience beyond static brand advertising and product placement. The combination of multiple platforms and different styles of video content provides a unique opportunity for brands to place themselves front and center before an engaged audience.
Beyond creative integration, Rush IT Network properties will offer performance platforms for emerging digital personalities. YouTubers, Viners, social media stars, and influencers will act alongside the SpinOffs cast of characters and can become new recurring characters, with opportunities to cross over into the scripted realm.
THE SPIN OFFS
Meet TheSpinOffs, a group of quirky 20 something's living together, having their lives documented as they comically and sometimes dramatically make their way through the online jungle, to become the next best thing in cyberspace. TheSpinOffs is Rush IT Network's cornerstone, introducing a group of base characters, who will organically branch off with their own spin off shows. Rush It Network's creative vertical will grow with a spider web type effect that will create an endless collection of programming, all connecting back to the original series and cast of characters.
TheSpinOffs is a scripted dramedy series about a group of passionate vloggers who have been brought together by a mysterious benefactor to live together in a house in the Hollywood Hills. This series anchors the network, dosing out a combination of outrageous comedy, romance and conflict, airing three new episodes per week. Each character will host a daily vlog, based on their character, to organically integrate collaborators and consumer brands, with an endless platform of creative exposure, supported by storyline integration and character social media footprints.
As new characters are introduced on TheSpinOffs, they collaborate and begin to appear on one another’s vlogs. As each new character is brought in and becomes popular with the audience, they will spin off into a show of their own. Each show has its own genre and focus, filling the Rush IT Network with a wide variety of content in a short video series format.
Scott Zakarin
After a long stint in the Advertising industry, Zakarin became fascinated by the Internet, which at the time was a brand new medium. In 1995 he created THE SPOT, the first interactive entertainment web series that combined online diary entries, photos and video using groundbreaking interactive techniques to create a new storytelling format. The site became the first winner of a Webby.
Zakarin then created GrapeJam.com, the first interactive “sit.com” that featured live improvisational activities and streaming radio broadcasts, earning him a nod from PEOPLE MAGAZINE, who called Zakarin "King of the sit.com." Zakarin was also featured prominently in the book DIGITAL BABYLON. Zakarin then built and launched Entertainment Asylum for AOL's Greenhouse Networks, an interactive celebrity site with live broadcasts.
More Zakarin projects include, STAN LEE's MUTANTS, MONSTERS & MARVELS, featuring Kevin Smith and COMIC BOOK: THE MOVIE, (best picture starring Mark Hamill.), KILL REALITY for the E! Entertainment Network, ROOMMATES, the first show for MySpace, SOUP OF THE DAY, THE VAN NUYS GUYS and SHATNERVISION, which was awarded Best Original Reality Web Series at the first annual Streamy Awards in 2008.
Zakarin wrote, directed and produce the UPSTAIRS GIRLS/DOWNSTAIRS GUYS, an episodic web video comedy series which has over 350 million views on YouTube, as cited by TubeMogul, and 3 billion video views.
