MPG hires Christine Santiago to run new Large Builders Risk Facility
Westbrook, CT (PRWEB) December 04, 2014 -- Maritime Program Group names Christine Santiago as VP of Inland Marine. Christine will lead the development and production of a new large-risk Inland Marine facility for MPG. Through their 20+ year partnership with SwissRe, MPG will be expanding their current Inland product offering to include coastal and inland Builders Risk accounts with individual risk limits up to $75,000,000. Additionally, a new program will be launched that targets specialty equipment for larger Contractors Equipment risks.

Christine Santiago has 30 years in the insurance industry with the last 25 dedicated to Inland Marine. She has extensive experience in form and rate development and establishing underwriting guidelines. She has marketed the product line throughout the US in both the wholesale and retail distribution networks.
She was most recently with Starr Indemnity as Vice President, Inland Marine Product Line Manager where she expanded their Inland Marine offerings through Starr Marine offices. She spent 7 years with Axis Insurance as Senior Vice President leading the Builders Risk underwriting team. Prior to that she spent 4 years with Ace USA Westchester Division as Assistant Vice President underwriting Inland Marine with an emphasis on Builders Risk insurance. She had regional underwriting responsibilities with St. Paul/USF&G and Hartford Insurance Group all in Inland Marine. She began her underwriting career with Risk Specialists of New York underwriting Excess and Surplus Lines Property Insurance.
