HIPOWER SYSTEMS Expands HIPOWER University Online Training Program with New Power Generation and Spark-Ignited Generators Tracks
(PRWEB) December 08, 2014 -- HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced it has updated its online power generation equipment training academy, HIPOWER University, with new and improved lessons. The enhanced learning tracks are 2014 Power Generation Training and 2014 Spark-Ignited Generators Training.
“HIPOWER SYSTEMS has become known industry-wide for its training initiatives, and HIPOWER University is a major component of our programs,” said HIPOWER SYSTEMS President Rafael Acosta. “HIPOWER University doesn’t replace the hands-on training we conduct in the field or at our factory. Rather, it gives any owner, reseller or distributor of HIPOWER SYSTEMS generators an on-demand, easy-to-access resource for training at any time.”
The two new or improved training curricula include:
2014 Power Generation Training―A series of “generator basics” lessons that helps anyone not well-versed with diesel generators understand and work with HIPOWER SYSTEMS generators competently.
• Lesson 1 - Electricity 101
• Lesson 2 - How a Generator Works
• Lesson 3 - Sizing
• Lesson 4 - Introduction to HIPOWER Products
• Lesson 5 - Maintenance and Troubleshooting
• Lesson 6 - Load Banking / Paralleling
2014 Spark Ignited Generators Training―A lesson plan focusing on natural gas generators that includes a substantially improved version of HIPOWER SYSTEMS’ previous PSI engine training, plus lessons on troubleshooting using advanced engine control systems and other important operations.
• Lesson 1 - Introduction to HIPOWER Gaseous Generator Sets
• Lesson 2 - Current Fuel Technology
• Lesson 3 - Gaseous Engines Used
• Lesson 4 - Gaseous Engine Controls in a Mobile HIPOWER Generator
• Lesson 5 - IEPR for HIPOWER GM Engine Stationary Generators
• Lesson 6 - Trouble Shooting Using the GCP Display and Plotter
• Lesson 7 - Maintenance
For all programs, students take a test at the end of each lesson. Those answering at least 80% of the questions correctly will receive a diploma after completion of all lessons. The courses are engaging, multimedia-driven programs that students can take in a single session (approximately six hours of instruction) or over days, weeks or even months, as they have time. Individuals interested in taking any of the courses should create an account at MyHIPOWER to start the process.
“Providing excellent service is a major goal for us, and we consider training programs to be part of that service to our customers,” said HIPOWER SYSTEMS Regional Service Manager Ron Laroe. “The more we can teach end users and help them enjoy reliable operation and longevity from their generators, the happier and more satisfied everyone will be.”
