LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading provider of content and technology solutions, has released a simplified, streamlined, more intuitive and global interface to Nexis®--its flagship online news and business information service.

With the deep collection of more than 26,000 sources of trusted news, company, legal, public records, industry information and social media content still available within Nexis as before, significant new elements of the service include:
- Clean and consistent search forms. Users will now have a more streamlined research experience with search forms that are more consistent and are less cluttered. New search tools such as the calendar display for simplified date selection and a directory style listing of company sources are also examples of how Nexis search forms will now be more intuitive and easier to use.
- Simplified source and index term selection. Among the most desired elements was an easier way to select sources and index terms—both of which can aid in finding desired results faster. A new “word wheel” feature enables customers to quickly browse, smoothly find and confidently select the sources and index terms they need.
- Improved results view. A new results display has been launched, providing more efficient sorting and filtering by content type and column display for easier scanning. Additionally, customers now have a split-screen preview option so they can swiftly evaluate a document or verify it is what they want—without having to leave their results.
The enhancements announced today are the latest in a series of activities by the BIS group at LexisNexis Legal & Professional. Most recently, LexisNexis acquired Moreover Technologies, Inc., a leading global content delivery service and provider of consolidated current awareness and media management solutions, and has begun integration of its collection of news, social media, broadcast and open Web content into LexisNexis solutions. Earlier this year, LexisNexis announced an updated analytics platform within Nexis—Nexis® Analyzer. Nexis Analyzer allows users to draw insights from their research faster and easier, using custom charts and graphs to compare media coverage, identify trends and share results.
