Wellness Corporate Solutions Welcomes New Executive Vice President
BETHESDA, MD - (PRWEB) December 05, 2014 -- Wellness Corporate Solutions (WCS) is pleased to announce that Susan Torroella will join the company as Executive Vice President, Screening Operations. In this role, Susan will be responsible for all screening partnerships, direct clients, and program management and operations.
Susan Torroella is an accomplished, award-winning health care executive. Her work has spanned the globe and the health care sector, from public health programs in Africa to serving as CEO of the medical education company Columbia MedCom Group. More recently, Susan was President of FrontierMEDEX Medical Assistance Services, where she oversaw the delivery of both health care prevention services and treatment coordination for employers' workforces during their international assignments. Susan was involved in orchestrating rescue operations following the Haiti earthquake, Arab Spring and other international incidents. Susan served as Vice President of United Healthcare International following the acquisition of FrontierMEDEX.
Known as a dynamic and successful leader, Susan has won multiple awards such as FORTUNE Small Business "Boss of the Year," The Daily Record's "Top 100 Women in Maryland," Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist", and PharmaVoice's "100 Most Inspiring Leaders in Life Sciences."
Susan's leadership extends into her work helping others. She is the former president of the Healthcare Business Women's Association (HBA), a global association of 6,000 health care leaders dedicated to improving the impact of women in health care worldwide, and was also founder of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the HBA. Susan is the Chair of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Mission in Baltimore, which is devoted to reducing cardiovascular disease for women.
She is a graduate from Franklin and Marshall College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of International Management, where she was valedictorian of her class. Susan has also attended INSEAD (France) and Wharton's executive management programs.
Susan speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French and English and resides in Howard County, MD with her husband and two sons.
