U.S. DEA establishes Intella as “Best Choice for Early Case Assessment”
COLORADO, USA (PRWEB) December 08, 2014 -- The U.S. DEA is joining the likes of the U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Department of Commerce, NASA, National Security Agency (NSA), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), among numerous other domestic federal agencies, who rely on Vound to provide them powerful data extraction, indexing, search and analysis capabilities.
According to the DEA, “Other Indexing solutions were examined and reviewed and were found to either be too complex (additional training requirements for usage, not intuitive) or unable to process the data volume needed to be indexed or cost prohibitive. It was found that the ease of use for Intella and low overhead made it the best choice for the ECA network.”
“Vound are thrilled to be supporting the DEA’s digital investigations process,” comments Peter Mercer, Vound’s Chief Technology Officer. “One of the points this contract award highlights is that whether you’re a federal agency, global law firm or a small e-discovery consultancy, the necessities in forensic search and analysis of electronic evidence are the same: accuracy, speed and simplicity.”
The DEA went on to state that Vound’s “user interface of Intella presents an intuitive search interface that requires little to no training” and subsequently “allows an individual to examine indexed data.” Vound’s unique cluster map technology “also presents a graphical representation of joint and disjoint keyword correlations,” whereby “Users can click on this graphic representation to immediately narrow search results,” presenting the most relevant data for review by investigators.
The DEA’s implementation is well timed as the agency will be able to leverage some of the fastest processing speeds on the market and additional analytic and workflow enhancements included in the recently released Intella version 1.8. The updated engine integrates market leading indexing speeds with superior usability, allowing users to make informed decisions on cases quicker than ever before.
“The DEA is a critical part of U.S. federal law enforcement and U.S. Department of Justice community, and Vound is honored to be able to assist them. We look forward to continuing to be of service to the DEA and other federal agencies in the years to come,” Peter Mercer says.
