The true mark of a successful business is the lasting relationship they foster with their clients and their community.
Miami, FL (PRWEB) December 08, 2014
Continental National Bank, Miami’s premier community source for financial services for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs, raised over $60K in benefit of the local nonprofit organization Amigos For Kids. All proceeds, raised through a two-month fundraising campaign, entitled $40K for 40 Years, will go to programs that help prevent child abuse and neglect in South Florida. The funds will be officially presented to Amigos For Kids during Continental National Bank’s 40th Anniversary Celebration, which will be held on Monday, December 8th, 2014 at the Bank’s main office location.
Spearheaded by Continental National Bank, the ambitious $40K for 40 Years fundraiser counted with the support of many bank clients and retail partners, whose outstanding support allowed the Bank to exceed its original goal of raising $40K through this one-of-a-kind event, all in the goal of benefiting local children in need. Seven participating Continental National Bank locations served as donation sites throughout the duration of the event, and contributions were also accepted online via the Bank’s official website.
Throughout its 40 years of service, Continental National Bank has supported many local charities and civic organizations, placing special emphasis in safeguarding a prosperous future for the leaders of tomorrow. Their collaboration with Amigos For Kids stems from their desire to raise awareness about child abuse, a grave and abiding problem that affects the lives of so many local families.
According to National statistics, approximately four children die every day as a result of abuse and neglect. Since 1991, Amigos For Kids has instituted programs that alleviate and prevent child abuse, helping over 25,000 children in South Florida. Continental National Bank is proud to support their important work.
“There’s no better way to celebrate our anniversary than by giving back to the community that has supported us for four decades” said Jacqueline Dascal Chariff, Chairman, Continental National Bank. “We’re proud to help bring forth a positive change for kids in our community, and very grateful to all of those who contributed to this important effort. We’d also like to thank our Officers and Management team, whose dedication and hard work made it possible for us to exceed our set goal.”
“Amigos For Kids would like to thank Continental National Bank and its participating partner clients for the overwhelming fundraising success of its $40K for 40 years event,” said Rosa Maria Plasencia, Amigos For Kids President and CEO. “Continental’s commitment to this community was truly exemplified by this effort. Not only did their generous spirit meet the $40K goal, it exceeded it! We are sincerely grateful and blessed by this campaign, which will allow Amigos to continue educating the community and advancing our mission of child abuse prevention. On behalf of the children and families we serve, I extend a heartfelt thanks for your support to our organization and congratulations on 40 years of outstanding service to our community!”
