Screenflex Adds Portable Welding Screens to its Production Line - Provides Safety for Welding and Grinding Areas Where Portability and/or Longer Screens are Needed
Lake Zurich, Illinois (PRWEB) December 09, 2014 -- Screenflex Portable Partitions, the US leading manufacturer of portable divider walls, today announced it will begin manufacturing the first collapsible portable welding screen ideal for welding and grinding environments where portability and screens are needed.
Screenflex Portable Welding Screens are built with the same quality standards found in all Screenflex portable dividers. Each panel is designed with a ½” closed cell honeycomb core, which helps trap sound, covered by nonwoven fiberglass facing with an overlay of Sandel fire barrier fabric. Sandel textile fire barrier fabric is made from predominately inorganic material that is non-combustible and meets ASTM-E84 Class 1 fire rating. All Sandel fire barrier fabrics are treated to resist fire, cracking, breaking, and fungal growth. Like all Screenflex panel surfaces, the welding screen is cleaned with a mild soap and water. The core of each panel is surrounded by a 20 Gauge Galvanized Steel Frame that is designed with pyramid shaped end supports for the greatest stability.
“The advantage of Screenflex Portable Welding Screens is its ability to serve as a multi-use screen protector. The screen protects workers and personnel near welding areas from sparks and rays, while safeguarding warehouse supplies make Screenflex Portable Welding Screens a viable solution for factory needs”, adds Kevin Maas, Screenflex Dealer Manager.
The portable screens can be designed from 3 to 13 panels that rest on self-leveling casters, making them easy to transport over most surfaces and stand level when locked into place. The unique design of the hinged panels allows the screens to be arranged in curved or square formations, with no gaps between panels, providing optimal protection from sparks or rays for other employees. When welding is complete, the screens may be folded for compact storage (3’x2’) or fully extended to create a barrier for warehouse space. When folded the screens may be rolled through any standard doorway for use in another room. The screens are available in five heights (4’-0”, 5’-0”, 6’-0”, 6’-8” and 7’-4”) and six lengths (5’-9”, 9’-5”, 13’-1”, 16’-9”, 20’-5” and 24’-1”). The Welding Screens arrive fully assembled and are insured with a 3 year warranty.
John Maas, President, commented, “Our goal is to meet the demanding need for welders to uphold safety regulations to protect themselves and other personnel, while having the versatility and economical flexibility that comes with Screenflex Portable Welding Screens."
Screenflex Portable Partitions was founded in 1988 by Paul, John and Richard Maas. Pulling from their architectural background with churches, schools, restaurants, and corporations, the partners realized that regardless of the client’s size or budget, they all had one common goal; make the best and most flexible use of their valuable floor space. To help their clients meet this goal, they designed and patented several lines of unique portable room dividers. Screenflex Portable Dividers are manufactured in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
