In 1994, MHF pioneered the use of rail in the hazardous and nuclear waste markets, creating a unique niche within the railroad service industry. MHF is now celebrating 20 years of success in managing more than 14 million tons of waste material.

One of many important milestones in MHF's history was reaching 2,000 shipments for the US Army Corps' St. Louis FUSRAP Project in 2002.

We are proud of what we have accomplished on behalf of our customers.

MHF Services, a leading provider of packaging, transportation, logistics and technical services, celebrated 20 years in business in November 2014.

The attached timeline highlights some of MHF’s most notable achievements over the past 20 years.

MHF President and CEO Robert Shawver said, “MHF began as a real pioneer in the transportation of environmentally sensitive material by rail, and over the past two decades, MHF has earned a reputation as the industry leader in the packaging and transportation of radioactive, hazardous and industrial waste material.”

Prior to MHF’s innovative, asset-based approach to rail logistics, environmentally sensitive materials were most often transported by truck or by non-dedicated, railroad-supplied equipment. MHF's approach has enabled customers to realize savings of 50 percent or more.

Scott Dempsey, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, said, “We are proud of what we have accomplished on behalf of our customers and look forward to growing the company over the next 20 years.”
