DeskAlerts Introduces Customized Language Selection Feature
(PRWEB) December 08, 2014 -- Alert software DeskAlerts is continuing to enhance language flexibility for user Control Panels. After introducing a French interface DeskAlerts engineers are now working on a series of other language support improvements which are set to make the software more multinational than ever before.
DeskAlerts prides itself on innovation and the ability to continually come up with new and intuitive improvements that keep it at the forefront of the internal communications software pack. In autumn DeskAlerts announced the exciting news that users could now enjoy the option of a Control Panel compatible with a French interface. The upgrade received a hugely positive reception and in light of customer feedback software engineers are now getting ready to introduce a series of additional dialects.
Anton Vdovin, Project Manager at DeskAlerts said, “While the software itself remains the same the overall user experience is largely determined by the language of the console interface. Native English speakers are guaranteed a seamless user experience however those who speak English as a second language may not enjoy the same level of ease. It was this lack of universality that inspired us to introduce enhanced language flexibility for user Control Panels. Now, both administrators and end users can reap the benefits of a customized console interface displayed in the language of their choice.”
Before the introduction of the all new custom language Control Panel feature the product administrator set the dialect of the console interface on behalf of all users. This meant that an entire workplace was subject to the personal preferences of one user. Now, DeskAlerts has a new feature which allows individual publishers to choose their preferred language without affecting the experience of other users.
For companies with diverse workforces the ability to customize the language of the console interface is a fantastic way to foster innovation. According to a recent report published by Forbes Insights, diversity in the workplace is the key to success. Titled ‘Global Diversity and Inclusion: Fostering Innovation Through a Diverse Workforce,’ the publication identifies a direct correlation between employee multiplicity and competitive advantage.
"For global companies, diversity is no longer simply a matter of creating a heterogeneous workforce, but using that workforce to innovate and give it a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Competition for talent is fierce in today's global economy, so companies need to have plans in place to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce," states the report.
By offering users the option of selecting their preferred language DeskAlerts is supporting workplace diversity and helping companies harness the benefits of building a multicultural workforce. The option of customizing console interface language is set to enhance staff productivity as well as boost employee satisfaction and help companies increase staff retention levels.
At present DeskAlerts offers users the option of console interfaces reading in English, French or Russian. These three dialects were chosen in light of customer feedback, client backgrounds and global language statistics. In 2015 users can expect to see even more languages added to the DeskAlerts user Control Panel.
Vdovin explains, “As it stands we have identified English, French and Russian as the three major languages which would be most beneficial to our users. As DeskAlerts continues to grow we plan to introduce other widely used languages which will make the software the universally used internal communications solution.”
DeskAlerts software is used by an ever increasing portfolio of companies around the world. Germany multinational conglomerate company Siemens, British multinational oil and gas company BP, French multinational integrated oil and gas company Total, Swiss insurance and pension solutions provider Baloise Group and US supermarket chain H.E.B are just some of the household names currently using the company’s alert software.
