Northern Westchester Hospital Leadership Plans Strong Future for Local Healthcare by Joining the North Shore-LIJ Health System
Mt. Kisco, NY (PRWEB) December 08, 2014 -- Northern Westchester Hospital and the North Shore-LIJ Health System announced today that an agreement has been reached for the 233-bed Mount Kisco hospital to join the New York area’s largest health network. With a formal agreement signed, North Shore-LIJ will proceed to secure all necessary approvals to finalize the relationship, which is anticipated to occur in early 2015.

North Shore-LIJ is well ahead of other area health systems in the transformation to Population Health Management, which will help to ensure that Northern Westchester Hospital remains one of the highest-quality, cost effective providers in the nation.”
Northern Westchester Hospital becomes North Shore-LIJ’s 19th hospital, and with the recent addition of Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, continues the expansion of the health system’s presence in Westchester County, beyond its traditional service area in New York City and Long Island. The addition of Northern Westchester Hospital’s approximately 1,200 employees increases North Shore-LIJ’s workforce to more than 51,000 – the largest private employer in New York State.
