RE/MAX SKY Real Estate Makes a Grand Entrance on H Street
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) December 09, 2014 -- In the spirit of the holiday season, RE/MAX SKY Real Estate launches with a Grand Opening featuring a Holiday Edition of ART BUZZ, to benefit the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative (DC Collaborative) on Friday, December 12th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The soiree’, showcasing the work of local D.C. artists and photographers, will take place at RE/MAX SKY’s brand new office at 1425 H Street, N.E. Washington. D.C. 20002.
RE/MAX SKY is the first RE/MAX Collection office in the District and it is the luxury property division of the international real estate firm RE/MAX. The office will be led by Cher Castillo Freeman who is the principal broker and owner of RE/MAX SKY. RE/MAX SKY Real Estate is a full service brokerage specializing in luxury properties in D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

ART BUZZ is an ongoing series of events, created 10 years ago by Jade Floyd, DC Collaborative board president and Castillo Freeman (DCAHEC board member). The talented local artists and photographers who display their work at the ART BUZZ event will donate 10 percent of the profits from sold works to the DC Collaborative. Featured artists include: Maria Byrk, Dakota Fine, Aidah Fontenot, Cherie Lester and Caitlin Murphy. The events raise funds for the DC Collaborative’ s efforts to provide D.C. public and chartered schools students with access to cultural opportunities throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Each year nearly 30,000 students from D.C. schools attend more than 500 free performances at our nation's world-class cultural institutions through their programs.
“For the past decade ART BUZZ has been a vibrant fundraising series for the DC Collaborative. These signature events are always a fun, memorable highpoint for guests and artists in the D.C. cultural philanthropic landscape. Over the past decade, ART BUZZ has raised thousands of dollars and awareness for the DC Collaborative. We are most thankful to Jade and Cher for their passion and commitment in bringing the arts and humanities to hundreds of thousands of D.C. students,” said Lissa Rosenthal-Yoffe, executive director of the DC Collaborative.
