Kettle Corn NYC Raises More than Half of Funding Goal in One Week through Kickstarter
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 09, 2014 -- Nercessian Kettle Corn NYC, LLC, known as Kettle Corn NYC, the leading kettle corn vendor in New York City, today announced that it has raised more than half of its funding goal of $25,000 in one week through Kickstarter. The campaign, “Let's Build a Kettle Corn NYC Food Truck,” will be live until December 29. The funds will be used toward start-up costs for a first-of-a-kind food truck currently being built.
“Through overwhelming support from fans who love our kettle corn, to those who believe in what we’re doing and support from friends and family, we have raised over $13,000 in the first week of our campaign,” said Ken Nercessian, owner and creator of Kettle Corn NYC. “We are so thankful for everyone who has supported us. We can’t wait to get the truck on the road and fulfill all of the rewards for those who have contributed.”
In exchange for contributions, Kettle Corn NYC is offering several rewards, such as: a kettle corn making demonstration, a monthly membership, and VIP treatment that includes ‘rolling out the red carpet’ and a ‘line-cutting pass’ for free kettle corn. There is also a catered meal with celebrity of Hell’s Kitchen Season 8 and long-time friend, Chef Boris.
Since 2004, Kettle Corn NYC has been serving-up unique flavors of fresh hand-popped kettle corn that is actually stirred-by-hand in a giant kettle at street fairs throughout New York City on weekends, from April to November.
“With a food truck, not only will we be able to provide kettle corn all year round, but we will also be the first popcorn vendor in New York City that stirs kettle corn by-hand in an actual kettle in the truck,” said Ken. “New Yorkers love watching kettle corn being made and we can’t wait to provide that experience on wheels.”
The funds will be used for equipment, interior build-out, exterior design, insurance, supplies, and licensing.
