New OnTrak Program Reduces Lamination Development and Production Costs
PATERSON, NEW JERSEY: (PRWEB) January 07, 2015 -- Glenro, Inc. of Paterson, New Jersey, is introducing a new industrial lamination program. Designated the OnTrak lamination process development and production program, this new program enables companies to develop new and better lamination processes while reducing overall lamination costs. The program benefits companies who laminate materials such as fabric, nonwovens, metal foils, foams, filters, composite panels, and wood products.
The OnTrak program consists of three phases: (1) the Process Development Phase; (2) the Proof of Concept Phase; and (3) the Production Phase. In the Process Development Phase, Glenro lamination engineers evaluate lamination requirements and then conduct a variety of tests to develop the optimal lamination process. Glenro uses its unique high-efficiency flatbed laminators to develop and determine the best process for each laminate material. During the development process, each of the important variables--pressure, temperature, time, and adhesives—are optimized for the materials being laminated.
In the Proof of Concept Phase, Glenro manufactures products using the optimal laminating processes developed in the Process Development Phase. These manufactured products can then be assembled to build a functioning prototype product. This fully functional product can in turn go through a series of real-world tests under the exact environmental conditions of the final application.
In the Production Phase, Glenro will run the materials to be laminated on in-house lamination lines in Maysville, KY—the same lines that were used to develop and optimize the laminating process. That procedure eliminates costly and time-consuming “line recalibration”—and ensures that the finished product is identical to the product developed in the Proof of Concept Phase. The output of the Glenro lamination lines are Production Units—ready to be sold or integrated as a component into other products.
In some cases the OnTrak program can complete the new lamination development start-to-finish cycle in as little as 3 weeks.
Glenro offers a complete range of contract laminating services. Utilizing the OnTrak program and Glenro lamination lines for Production runs allows companies to build and sell actual products—and evaluate their market—without a capital investment in lamination equipment.
