Photon Interactive Reports Three Biggest Retail Customer Trends for Black Friday to Cyber Monday
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 09, 2014 -- Photon Interactive today reports the biggest trends witnessed across its customer base for the week of Black Friday to Cyber Monday. Photon is a prominent provider of omni-channel solutions serving over 30 percent of Fortune 100 companies, as well as almost all major retailers in the Fortune 500.
1. Rising tide of omni-channel and digital revenue attribution
Photon is seeing the store and the online world coming together quickly. Consumers are no longer using channels independent of each other but are mixing and matching them to create a hassle-free experience for themselves. Consumers are using omni-channel and digital channels for browsing products, comparing prices or making purchases, and then fulfilling these through offline channels such as the store. While in-store retail figures this year have shown only a slight decrease, we have seen a spike in this “crossover functionality” with omni-channel and digital channels leading revenues and growing by over 107 percent compared to last year.
2. Mobile traffic tips over the 50 percent mark consistently across Photon’s customer base
Last year, the mobile traffic across most of Photon’s customer base hovered around the 20-30 percent mark. While everyone expected mobile web and applications to be a key driver this year, the growth has outstripped expectations with a great majority of Photon’s customers reporting over 50 percent of their online and digital traffic coming from mobile web and applications.
3. Full-featured, adaptive responsive presences show conversion rates more than doubling
A year ago, mobile conversions were a serious concern as retailers were struggling to offer full-feature mobile presences to their consumers. Adaptive responsive presences address this head on: True blue, full-featured adaptive responsive presences work off a single code base, enabling a seamless experience for the consumer with full functionality across devices, platforms and form factors. Photon recently migrated several of its Fortune 100 customers, including some major retailers, to its Photon Adaptive Responsive Framework, which allows for optimized browsing and full-feature availability across devices and platforms. This has resulted in Photon’s retailer customers showing an average growth of over 87 percent in mobile conversions compared to last year.
Photon enables companies to unlock the potential of omni-channel and digital presences by utilizing next-generation frameworks like adaptive responsive web architecture, cutting-edge consumer and associate facing applications, and revolutionary digital in-store technology.
“We have always believed that mobile and connected devices are a strong driver of revenue growth in retail,” explains Srinivas Balasubramanian, CEO, Photon Interactive. “These figures simply validate our view and speak volumes about how cutting-edge omni-channel and digital presences can boost revenues exponentially for retailers.”
