Neos Technologies, LLC today announced that it has completed the acquisition of all assets of AFrame Digital, Inc. AFrame Digital, Inc. (“AFD”) is a leading edge healthcare IT company that provides a proactive monitoring and alert notification system using wearables and leading edge server technologies including monitoring, analytics and notification.
AFrame Digital provides real-time, continuous health and safety monitoring solutions for seniors, patients managing chronic conditions, and other at-risk individuals, with proactive, exceptions-based alerting to help caregivers quickly attend to or avert crises. The MobileCare Monitor’s advanced, easy-to-use, low-cost and scalable solution is personalized to each monitored individual’s health and wellness profile, detect falls and currently is installed in senior living communities, hospitals and individual home settings. It is designed to improve the care of at-risk patients, reduce provider costs, and increase global healthcare capacity to serve a growing population. Currently used by many charter customers in the United States and throughout the world, the software platform generates secure, real-time reports on vital signs, physical activity and wellness indicators. “We are pleased that Neos will build upon the AFrame Digital solution to realize a vision of serving those who wish to remain in their homes as long as possible by leveraging their expertise in commercializing technology-based services”, states Ms. Phoebe Carson, CEO of AFrame Digital.
“Remote wellness and patient monitoring systems are advancing at a rapid pace. Neos Technologies is excited to enter this rapidly growing market and have great plans for AFD’s products and technologies which fit perfectly within our vision for the future growth of our company,” states Tammy Besser, COO of Neo Technologies. While the software is configurable and extendable for use within any healthcare setting, its real strength lies in supporting an “aging at home” vision – a concept that is quickly becoming more reachable each day as homes become more automated. Designed purposefully for the elderly, those with decreased ADL’s, and those with one or more chronic conditions, a proprietary FDA-cleared wearable monitor sends continuous data to the AFD analytics engine. Based on sophisticated, multi-variant analytics, the system then sends exception-based alerts and messages for immediate action by family members, caregiver, or clinicians, based on configurable protocols and user roles. Parameters for alerts and messages are highly personalized for each patient and may be modified over time as overall changes in health occur. DARPA and NIH grants have funded the company’s history of rigorous and scientifically validated components of the AFrame solution: data collection, analytics methodology, alerts and outcomes, and predictive modeling. Three broad-use system patents have been issued to date; a fourth application submitted in 2013 is pending.
