Greenberg Traurig Denver Continues Expansion with David H. Poticha in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group
DENVER (PRWEB) December 09, 2014 -- David Poticha has joined Greenberg Traurig, LLP as practice group attorney for the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Practice. Poticha will focus his practice in the biotechnology and the biosciences arena. He was formerly with the University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office on the Anschutz Medical Campus where he focused on the protection, transfer and licensing of life sciences and medical technologies.
Poticha’s area of expertise is in general patent and intellectual property matters particularly in the medical device, pharmaceutical and diagnostic fields. He is experienced developing and licensing commercially valuable intellectual property; drafting applications, conversions, regular patent applications and amendments; patent strategy consulting; branding and marketing strategies; and managing patent portfolios.
Prior to his work on the Anschutz campus, Poticha served as a corporate attorney for Colorado-based pharmaceutical company, Myogen, Inc., which was subsequently acquired by Gilead Sciences. As an active member of his profession, Poticha serves as a board advisor and intellectual property consultant to ProTechSure Scientific and participates with the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) and Colorado Office of Economic Development (OEDIT) to help advance the local bioscience industry, and was previously a board observer and consultant for BioAMPS LLC. Poticha earned his juris doctorate from the University of Colorado Boulder School of Law and is admitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
