Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration Announces Facebook Video Contest
BEVERLY HILLS, CA (PRWEB) December 09, 2014 -- Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration is inviting those who have hair loss from all over the world to participate in a video contest, the prize for which will be a free hair transplant.
“Patients are usually intimidated by the whole idea of getting a hair transplant, and my hope is that through this contest we can show how wonderful and natural looking the results can be,” said Dr. Parsa Mohebi.
The videos shouldn't be longer than five minutes. In them, contestants should explain why they ought to win and what a hair transplant would mean to them.
Videos should be posted to the Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration Facebook page by January 21, 2015. The winner will be announced on January 23, 2015. Dr. Mohebi says one of his major goals with this contest is to decrease the stigma associated with hair transplants.
“The whole point of the contest is to get people talking about hair transplants, to help people understand that they shouldn't be afraid or ashamed of wanting a hair transplant,” he said. “It is just like getting any other plastic surgery -- people opt for this procedure because they want to feel better about themselves.” For this reason, the winner must demonstrate a willingness to talk about the procedure and how they’ve felt dealing with hair loss prior to surgery.
The type of surgery performed will be either follicular unit transplantation (FUT) or follicular unit extraction (FUE), depending on the client’s needs as assessed by Dr. Mohebi in an initial consultation. On average, these procedures would usually cost between $10,000 and $16,000.
The video will then be posted on the Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration website.
“The idea is not only to help restore the lucky winner's confidence once again,” Dr. Mohebi explained, “but to have the video be an informative source that allows people to see what the procedure looks like so they’re less worried about the process.”
Contestants must also give written consent to have the procedure videotaped for educational and informational purposes.
