Immediate Clinic Adds Physical Therapy Services to Two Locations
Lynnwood, WA (PRWEB) December 09, 2014 -- In November 2014, the Immediate Clinic location in Lynnwood began offering physical therapy services to patients. Following the lead of another Immediate Clinic center in Burien, which began offering physical therapy earlier in the fall, the Lynnwood facility hopes to continue their mission of improving patients’ health through a multidisciplinary approach. While both physical therapy programs are relatively new, the Burien and Lynnwood centers expect that this addition will please the many patients who have requested this service.
The Burien and Lynnwood Immediate Clinic locations decided to add physical therapy to their repertoire after deciding that their patients had demonstrated a need for such a program, as well as realizing that their employees had the expertise to perform physical therapy. Both clinics have trained therapists on staff who work closely with the rest of their medical teams, ensuring seamless communication and quick care. The therapists and staff hope that by emphasizing education and exercise through the programs, they will be able to empower patients to overcome obstacles, return them to full mobility and prevent further injuries.
The physical therapy clinics will be able to treat a variety of problems, including sports injuries, joint pain, worker’s compensation injuries, muscle strains and sprains, and injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. They will also be able to perform employment screenings, ensuring that job candidates are capable of completing the physical work associated with a particular position. As a result, they offer a number of services: manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, work conditioning, pain and inflammation control, home exercise prescription and education, and gait analysis. The clinics will accept most major insurance policies to cover these treatments, including Molina and other Medicaid-based programs.
Immediate Clinic’s staff has high hopes and expectations for both the Burien and Lynnwood physical therapy programs.
“Our hope is that by offering physical therapy alongside our urgent care practice we will offer a unique ability to manage our acute and sub-acute musculoskeletal injuries in a comprehensive manner, unlike anywhere else,” said Dave Self, Director of Physical Therapy for Immediate Clinic.
