Koh Phangan, Thailand (PRWEB) December 12, 2014 -- http://thaipartyfor.me reports on the party scene on Koh Phangan, Thailand. At the end of October, all beach and moon parties in the province of Surat Thani were prohibited. All other parties were closed down for the month of November. During this month, many discussions took place between top level officials and Koh Phangan party organizers. Party zones were designated on the island of Koh Phangan. Security measures and restrictions were implemented which would allow the major parties to open again, once they had complied with the new regulations.

Haad Rin has been designated a special party zone on the island of Koh Phangan. All parties in this region of the island are allowed to continue as normal. Smaller parties in and around Haad Rin have been taking place, uninterrupted, as of December 2014. An open-air party zone in Ban Taai has also been designated. This covers the major open-air parties such as Half Moon, Jungle Experience, Sramanora and MAYA. All other parties outside of Haad Rin or the Ban Taai open air zone are allowed to open but are classed as bars - and must close by 1am.
After meeting the new security standards, the major open-air parties in the Ban Taai party zone have been deemed legal. They must comply with new security measures that have been put in place. CCTV cameras and adequate lighting at the entry to all parties is required. Tourist information must be provided, along with emergency exits and separate toilets for men and women. Once these standards have been satisfied, the major parties on Koh Phangan are allowed to open again.
