BRM Announces Engine Cleaning Video; See the Rebuilt 350 Chevy Engine Block at PRI Show 2014 (Booth #5511)
Los Angeles, CA (USA) (PRWEB) December 10, 2014 -- Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM), global supplier of flexible cylinder hones and brushing tools, is announcing an engine cleaning video that’s part of its 350 Chevy engine rebuild project. BRM bought the V8 engine from a local junkyard, and has restored the block to demonstrate applications for its industry-leading line of automotive surface finishing solutions.
As a related technical article notes, the California manufacturer will attend the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) tradeshow in Indianapolis this week from December 11 to 13, 2014. Visitors to Booth #5511 at the Indiana Convention Center can see the copper center wire wheel brushes, wire end brushes, toothbrush-style scratch brushes, and Flex-Hone® tools used in the engine cleaning video.
Brushing Tools for Engine Rebuilds
As BRM’s new video explains, copper center wire wheel brushes are small-diameter tools that are great for rust removal. These dependable wheel brushes mount in handheld power tools, as do wire end brushes. The engine cleaning video also shows toothbrush-style scratch brushes for reaching tight, small spaces on the tops of engine blocks.
BRM’s 350 Chevy engine project prominently features flexible cylinder hones. Available for any type or size of cylinder, Flex-Hone® tools come in a variety of abrasive types and grit sizes. BC Series ball hones are smaller-diameter tools used with valve guides and valve lifter bores. GB Series Flex-Hone® tools are ideal for surface finishing, deburring, and deglazing engine block cylinders or liners on cars.

As a full-line supplier of automotive surface finishing technologies, BRM also makes other types of Flex-Hone® tools, such as the Flex-Hone® for Rotors. This honing tool was used in the 350 Chevy V8 engine rebuild project, but does not appear in the engine cleaning video. Visitors to Booth #5511 at PRI Show 2014 can find a full list of the brush tools that were used in the rebuild, and also see the rebuilt engine.
