Thailand's Department Of International Trade Promotion Ministry Of Commerce Launches Integrated Campaign Developed By The 9.8 Group
(PRWEB) December 10, 2014 -- The Department of International Trade Promotion Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government (DITP) has launched its annual integrated marketing campaign. For the fourth consecutive year the campaign was developed and executed by the travel and lifestyle marketing strategists of the New York-based 9.8 Group. This year’s campaign will focus on Thailand’s unique variety of products and offerings and will be highlighted by the unveiling of the Thailand Trust Mark (“TTM”), a symbol of quality assurance designed to both provide consumers with confidence and showcase the quality standards of Thai manufacturers and producers.
The two month campaign will run through the end of the year, and is designed to promote the TTM as a means to both build brand awareness among consumers, as well as to enhance the confidence of international partners considering doing business with Thai manufacturers that have received the TTM.
The campaign encourages consumers to look for the Thailand Trust Mark symbol, as well as “Made in Thailand” quality products and services. The campaign’s Creative pieces will highlight various items across the Thai food, jewelry, fashion, home-textiles and home décor categories, which are recognized for their quality and unique design. Campaign partner “Thailand: Kitchen of the World” will also be featured, underscoring Thai food’s positive reputation and brand identity.
The campaign will culminate in a placement on Times Square’s American Eagle billboard, which features 12 integrated digital displays and attracts over 150,000 people each day during the holiday season. The campaign is expected to garner millions of live and broadcast TV impressions as well as a significant level of viral sharing of photo and video content.
This announcement underscores the strong growth in Thai exports – according to the Wall Street Journal, in 2014 Thai exports rose 3.97% year-over-year to $20.16 billion, beating market expectation, while shipments to the U.S. were at a record high, and grew by 6.40% from the prior year.
“This campaign is an integral part of the Thai Trade Office’s promotions and seeks to continue elevating the image of Thai export products, making them top of mind among new and existing consumer segments,” said Somdet Susomboon, Executive Director, Thai Trade Center, New York. “We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the 9.8 Group and its subsidiaries to promote other uniquely authentic Thai products on the basis of the holding’s innovative strategic guidance and market expertise in the years to come”.
“As a strategic partner for the Department of Trade Promotions (DITP), Thai Trade New York office, we always look for new unique ways to showcase the quality Thai products including food, jewelry and fashion”, said Anna Abelson, Managing Director, Travel and Tourism Practice at the 9.8 Group. “We congratulate DITP on showing the strongest growth in two years across their key export categories. Our team is thrilled to be a part of this success and to make an impact on the economic development and the well-being of Thailand, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership and to providing best in class services to DITP.”
