Clayton Home Gifted on Duck Dynasty® Christmas Episode
Maryville, Tenn. (PRWEB) December 11, 2014 -- Clayton Homes, America’s largest homebuilder*, has teamed up with A&E’s Duck Dynasty® star, Willie Robertson, and HomesPlus of Monroe, La., to give the gift of a new home during the show’s Christmas Special that aired on Dec. 10.
In this heartwarming episode, Robertson surprised Theresser Lewis, the mother of Willie’s close basketball and school friend Paul Lewis, with the new home. Mrs. Lewis was previously living in a small, old blue frame house that was in visibly poor condition. Her son, Paul, had returned to West Monroe and received a fresh start from Willie Robertson as warehouse manager for Duck Commander®. Much like Paul’s job, this new home is meant to represent a similar fresh start for his mother. Theresser was sent to South Louisiana to visit her sister for a few days as the home was delivered and decorated with a new porch and garland. During the unveiling of the gift, both Paul and Mrs. Lewis were visibly moved by the generosity of the Robertson family.
“The look on her face was priceless,” Willie Robertson said. “She had no idea she was getting a new home for Christmas. It was incredible to see how much it meant to her, and it means so much to us to be able to help make her Christmas season a little brighter.”
The home given to Theresser Lewis is the 1,620 square foot Charlton model by Southern Energy Homes, a subsidiary of Clayton Homes. It is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home with a large open floor plan that is centered around the living room and beautiful kitchen. The kitchen is angled toward the living room so that Mrs. Lewis will be able to easily socialize with family while preparing food for the holidays. She also has several customizable features in her home, including nine-foot ceilings, porcelain sinks, a walk-in master closet, custom-designed kitchen with buffet server and an upgraded energy-efficient insulation package.
“We were thrilled to be a part of this holiday surprise for Mrs. Lewis,” Kevin Clayton, CEO of Clayton Homes, said. “During the holiday season it is especially important for families to gather together at home. We were excited to partner with the Robertsons to bring the Lewis family home for the holidays.”
