UNCF and Civic and Business Leaders Announce the Indianapolis UNCF Masked Ball
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) December 10, 2014 -- The Indianapolis area office of UNCF (the United Negro College Fund) will join Civic and Business Leaders in support of education at the UNCF 7th Annual Masked Ball on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 5:30p.m. to 11:00p.m., at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. The annual event is a black tie evening of elegance that will bring together hundreds of business, civic and education leaders to provide vitally needed funds to provide Indianapolis students with the support they need to get to and through college, and to support UNCFs 37 Member Institutions.

Bart Peterson (former mayor of Indianapolis), Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs and Communications, Eli Lilly and Company serves as the 2014 UNCF Masked Ball’s corporate chairperson. Lilly is the event’s Presenting Sponsor and Anthem serving as vice chair
The Indianapolis UNCF Masked Ball will open with a VIP reception for dignitaries. There will also be a fabulous general reception, elegant dinner, and program including silent and live auctions and the new Gem Dig. Guests will also be treated to a special performance by the legendary, Multi-Platinum Award winning Jeffery Osborne.

Each year UNCF recognizes local students who are future leaders that are excelling academically in college due to the support they receive from UNCF through the community’s donations. This year UNCF will recognize Brittany Harvey who attends Indiana University and Whitney Turner who attends Hampton University.
Last year, the 6th Annual Indianapolis Masked Ball raised more than $500,000 to support the deserving students who attend UNCF’s 37 member colleges and universities. The Indianapolis Masked Ball helps to support more than 300 Indiana students and students across the country who attend UNCF’s member colleges and universities as well as Indiana institutions.
