Burg Simpson Launches Third Annual Scholarships, Totaling $11,500
Englewood, Colorado (PRWEB) December 12, 2014 -- In a continuing effort to educate younger Coloradans about the importance and role of the civil jury system as the guardian of American rights and liberties, Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, P.C. is pleased to announce its third annual scholarship competition based upon written essays. This year Burg Simpson will once again award a total of 10 scholarships to graduating Colorado seniors to attend the college of their choice. There will be one first place prize of $2,500 and nine other scholarships of $1,000 each.
All graduating high school seniors from across Colorado are may enter the competition by submitting an original essay of 1,500 words or less that describes: how the civil jury system in the United States is being threatened, how the civil jury system protects your rights as a citizen, or the importance of preserving the civil jury system for future generations. In addition to receiving a college scholarship, all winners will be invited to attend a special reception for themselves, their families, and their teachers where their awards will be presented and their accomplishments will be recognized. Winners will also appear at center court during half-time of the Colorado State Boys Basketball Championship Game on March 14, 2015.

The competition is open to any graduating Colorado senior enrolled in an accredited school. Students interested in participating must submit their application and essay to Burg Simpson no later than midnight on February 13, 2015.
