Texas CPA firms continue to fare well among the nation’s elite in Accounting Today’s recently released list of “The 2014 Best Accounting Firms to Work For.” The annual survey and awards program, which is conducted in partnership with Best Companies Group, is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the accounting profession. The list was featured in December’s issue of Accounting Today.
To be considered for participation, companies had to be a public accounting firm in the U.S., have a minimum of 15 employees working in the U.S. and be in business a minimum of one year.
The process to determine the top accounting firms consisted of a two-part survey. The first part, worth 25 percent of the overall score, evaluated each nominated firm’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part, worth 75 percent, consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
