Massachusetts Non-Profit Receives Citation from State Senator
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 16, 2014 -- The honorable Massachusetts Senator Anthony W. Petruccelli awarded LandAjob, Director of Operations, John Bertram with a Citation in recognition of International Day of Persons with Disability and LandAjob’s tireless efforts on behalf of individuals with disabilities.
LandAjob is a division of National Telecommuting Institute (NTI). NTI is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization with headquarters in Boston, MA. It has been supporting Americans with disabilities since 1995. NTI provides training and job placements in work at home positions across the United States. LandAjob, a division of NTI joined the world wide effort to recognize the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd.
Estimates indicate there are 1 billion people disabled worldwide and 1 in 5 Americans can be identified as someone with a disability. NTI and LandAjob are committed to supporting, training and placing Americans with disabilities who feel they are capable of returning to work.
NTI partners with employers across the country that have work at home options, as many individuals with disabilities need this type of work arrangement. NTI has also provided targeted on site job placement as well. LandAjob works with individuals who receive social security benefits and in addition to providing the services listed above, LandAjob provides work-related reimbursements through Social Security’s Ticket to Work Program. These reimbursements are designed to help beneficiaries return to work.
Over the last 18 years, NTI and LandAjob have assisted over 10,000 Americans with disabilities in finding a job. Each program is designed to help people lead more purpose filled lives, potentially reducing their reliance on social security benefits which in turn creates a win-win situation for everyone involved.
