Care and Compliance Group Joins Institute for Professional Care Education
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) December 16, 2014 -- The Institute for Professional Care Education (“IPCed”), a leading provider of online training and instructor resources within the post-acute care market, announced that it has acquired Care and Compliance Group of Murrieta, California. Financial terms were not disclosed.
IPCed was founded by CEO Sharon Brothers and includes the aQuire Training, EasyCEU, and Medifecta Healthcare Training brands. Its mission is to help organizations and individuals meet their regulatory training requirements, improve provider efficiencies and raise the standard of care for some of the country’s most frail, vulnerable individuals.
With the addition of Care and Compliance Group, the combined company will provide over 500 training resources to home care, certified home health, assisted living and skilled nursing care providers. Brothers explains, “We are very pleased to expand our reach, expertise and content catalogs and will be providing the industry with additional choices for managing compliance training and caregiver education.”
Care and Compliance Group was founded by Sandi Flores more than 30 years ago with a commitment to providing training throughout the state of California to assisted living and residential care providers. Sandi’s son, Josh Allen, assumed the reins of the company as CEO in 2009, continuing to expand the training offerings and build on the solid family-run reputation of the company.
“When we decided to find a growth partner we only called one company, the Institute for Professional Care Education,” notes Allen. “IPCed’s reputation and our confidence in their ability to continue to help Care and Compliance Group grow was clear to us. We couldn’t be more pleased with the decision and know we will be stronger together.” Allen and other key company executives will continue with the company and develop training content to meet current and upcoming needs as new regulations expand training requirements in California and other states.
With this transaction, Chris Bennett, a veteran in regulatory compliance and healthcare certification training, will become IPCed’s Chairman of the Board. Bennett adds, “IPCed and Care and Compliance are ideal complements, not only from a service delivery perspective, but also from an end market orientation. The combination will allow us to offer a more robust offering, expand services to our customers and ultimately provide better quality care. Retaining Josh’s expertise is a great bonus and we are thrilled with the knowledge and expertise we are gaining from the entire Care and Compliance Group staff.”
